Italy - Institutum Carmelitanum

Established in 1951 by the Prior General Kilian Lynch to promote studies in Carmelite history, mariology, and spirituality. The Institute is located at Centro Internazionale Sant’ Alberto (CISA) in Rome but includes both Carmelite and non Carmelite scholars from around the world.

The Titus Brandsma Institute is a scholarly institute established to promote the scholarly study of the guidelines for religious experience and spiritual. While it is located at on the campus of Radboud University (formerly "Catholic University of Nijmegan"), it is an independent research institute founded jointly the Dutch Province of the Carmelite Order and the Catholic University of Nijmegan.

As Carmelites We live our life of allegiance to Jesus Christ and to serve Him faithfully with a pure heart and a clear conscience through a commitment to seek the face of the living God (the contemplative dimension of life), through prayer, through fraternity, and through service (diakonia). These three fundamental elements of the charism are not distinct and unrelated values, but closely interwoven.
