Fernando Millán Romeral, O.Carm.
 
Was born in Madrid (Spain) on August 19, 1962.  He went to school in the Colegio Santa María del Carmen in Madrid. During those years, in the school and in the Carmelite Parish Church in Sonsoles, he came to know the Carmelite Order, and felt called to live this charism.

Throughout the six years that the term of the General leadership lasts there are moments that are difficult, joyful, sad, emotional, moments in which one feels an extraordinary pride in our Carmelite family, and so on. At the end of last year, (from 29th November to 4th December 2010) we had one of those very intense, profound and joyful moments, in the meeting of the two General Councils, O.Carm and O.C.D.,

On the 19th of April, 2012, in the company of Fr. Josef Jancar, the Procurator General, the Prior General, Fernando Millán Romeral, O.Carm., presided at the engagement of 8 missionary workers (DDMF) in Le Fins (France), in the birth-place of Fr. Marcel Roussel-Galle, the founder of the Donum Dei Missionary Family.

40th Anniversary of the Titus Brandsma Institute

After 40 years, this Institute continues to work hard in the field of spirituality, helping many people to think about and to deepen their understanding of this fundamental dimension, not only of religion, but of human life itself.

On the 17th of December 2011, in the company of Fr. John Keating, O.Carm., Councilor General for Europe, the Prior General, Fernando Millán Romeral O.Carm., gave a talk a the ecumenical centre for lay people in Rome, (The Lay Centre at Foyer Unitas) in the topic: "Alternative Expressions for talking about God". From the 6th to the 8ty of January, he took part in the "All Students Gathering" of the two North American provinces

From the 4th to the 6th of July, the Prior General, Fr. Fernando Millán Romeral, O.Carm., took part in the 17th Meeting of the Carmelite Family in the Iberian Region which took place in Tarrasa (Barcelona, Spain) and this year was centred on the figure of Fr.. Bartolomé F. M. Xiberta.
