Fr. Giampiero Molinari, O.Carm. (Ita)

Fr. Giampiero was born in Jesi (An), Italy, 21 August 1973. After finishing the novitiate, he made his simple profession on September 3, 1995 and three years later, he made his solemn profession on 8 November 1998. He completed his philosophical and theological studies at the Pontifical Gregorian University and gained a Licentiate in Mariology at the Pontifical Marianum in Rome. He was ordained a priest on 15 April 2000.

From 2002-2006 he was director of the postulants and from 2006 to 2015 he was director of the professed students. In his Province, he held the positions as prior, provincial councilor and provincial assistant. From 2007 he is a member of the International Formation Commission. In June 2016, he was appointed Secretary General of the Order.

As Carmelites We live our life of allegiance to Jesus Christ and to serve Him faithfully with a pure heart and a clear conscience through a commitment to seek the face of the living God (the contemplative dimension of life), through prayer, through fraternity, and through service (diakonia). These three fundamental elements of the charism are not distinct and unrelated values, but closely interwoven. 

All of these we live under the protection, inspiration and guidance of Mary, Our Lady of Mount Carmel, whom we honor as "our Mother and sister."
