On 18th February 2011 two members of the General Council, Frs. John Keating, Councillor for Europe and Raúl Maraví, Councillor for schools and youth, together with Bro. Luca Sciarelli, O.Carm. (Ita) of the European Pilgrimage of Hope committee, visited the main offices for the World Youth Day organization in Madrid and met with one of the officials.

Episcopal Ordination of P. Wilmar Santin, O.Carm.

On 19 March the episcopal ordination of Fr. Wilmar Santin, O.Carm. was celebrated in the stadium “Ginásio de Esportes Noroestão” of the Brasilian city of Paranavaí, Paraná. Fr Wilmar is a member of the of the Commissariat of Paraná of the Upper German Province and was recently appointed bishop of the Territorial Prelature of Itaituba, in Brazil.

Following initial discussions during the Council of Provinces at San Felice del Benaco, Italy, in September 2009, the provincials of the Italian, Neapolitan, and Maltese Provinces together with the Commissary General of "La Bruna" held two subsequent meetings with the Councillor General for Europe, Fr. John Keating, O.Carm. one at Sassone (10th September 2010) and the second at Carmine Maggiore, Naples (31st January 2011).
