On May 15, 2023, on the first anniversary of the Canonisation of Saint Titus, the city council named the road over the main bridge that enters the city of Nijmegen in honour of Titus Brandsma.
The roads ends at the place where every year the memorial of the victims of the Second World War are remembered.
This is especially appropriate because Titus built bridges between both God and people, and between humans and one another.
A ceremony was held which was attended by Huub Welzen and Marieke Rijpkema gave a speech in tribute to Titus.
