Prayer Request to Our Lady of Mount Carmel
Prayer is a way to connect and engage with God. When we bring our needs, uncertainty, pain, worries, gratitude or whatever life has placed before us to him, we can be sure that he hears us.
“And this is the boldness we have in him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.” (1 John 5:14).
We also can have confidence that he wants to relieve our anxieties and take our cares upon his shoulders.
“Come to me, all you that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” (Matthew 11:28-30).
Please submit your prayer request using the form below and it will be sent to our Carmelite Communities for them to pray for your intentions. Prayer requests can be made regarding any situation – nothing is too small or too big for God.

Lectio Divina
"Lectio divina," a Latin term, means "divine reading" and describes a way of reading the Scriptures whereby we gradually let go of our own agenda and open ourselves to what God wants to say to us. In the 12th century, a Carthusian monk called Guigo, described the stages which he saw as essential to the practice of Lectio divina. There are various ways of practicing Lectio divina either individually or in groups but Guigo's description remains fundamental.
