Within the Order, there are various means of communication at the various provincial and regional levels. In recent years, the General Curia sent CITOC-online as a source of international news for the whole Carmelite Family. Digital communication is the fastest way and can immediately reach every corner of the world. However, several people, besides those who for various reasons do not have internet access, noticed the lack of the printed version of CITOC and expressed the need to exchange information in the more traditional way.
After a break of a few years, we are pleased to present the printed edition of CITOC in a new form. We are restarting the publication with presentations on various aspects of life and activities of the Order and in the whole Carmelite Family.
In the first issue we have highlighted recent and important events, such as the beatification of Angelo Paolo and his example for today. The General Councilors present their geographical areas and the various activities of the international commissions. There is no lack of information on the whole Carmelite Family. Many other news items amplify the rich source of information that we would like to present to all readers.
Meanwhile this first issue of CITOC has been sent out. The full text is available on the website of the Order at: CITOC MAGAZINE

Lay Carmelites build two Tertiary Houses in the Philippines
Written byAfter a period of ten years of planning and praying, the Lay Carmelites of the Philippines have acquired two properties in order to build its tertiary house. The first property (2,412 sq.m.) was acquired through deed of sale amounting to USD$24,000, and is located at Sampaloc, San Rafael, Bulacan, PH. Inspired by the Domus Carmelitana in Rome, the National Council for the TOC named its future building “Domus Carmelitana de San Jose.” It will serve as a retreat house for the TOC and will be open to other religious organizations and the Carmelite family who are seeking silence and solitude. It will also house the Oratory of St. Elijah where the relics of saints in the custody of the TOC will be placed for veneration. The second property (2,772 sq.m.) was given to the TOC through an “on lease” contract. The property is already developed and has existing structures. It was leased without cost, excluding real estate tax, to the TOC for 15 years and this can be extended for another 5 years. It is named “Mater Carmeli House of Prayer” and is located at Pansol, Calamba, Laguna, PH. It will be operational in the 3rd quarter of 2011. The TOC National Secretariat of the Philippines informs that those who wish to contribute towards the building of Domus Carmelitana de San Jose can contact the National Secretariat at Questo indirizzo email è protetto dagli spambots.
