Asia-Oceania

The first monastery of Carmelite nuns in Asia was founded in the Philippines in 1958 in the city of Dumaguete. Then followed the foundations of Guiguinto in 1966, Cabanatuan (1983), Burgos (1993), Roxas City (1990), Santa Ignacia (2001), Tanay (2001), Maramag (2008), Lila (2009), San Fabian (2017). In Indonesia, the first foundation was in the city of Batu in 1962. Then followed the second foundation in Palangkaraya in 1993. The one in Vietnam in Vung Tau was founded in 2020.
